The Simpsons Renewed For Four More Seasons

You’ll never stop The Simpsons! Have no fears, they’ve got stories for years! Four years it seems, as FOX just announced that our favourite four-fingered family have been renewed for four more seasons!

This will take the show through to a whopping Season 40, a remarkable achievement regardless of what your opinion may be on the modern iteration of the long-running series.

Along with The Simpsons, FOX have also announced that Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy and American Dad (which is returning to FOX after a stint on TBS), have also been renewed for four more seasons.

It’s not only incredible news for animation fans worldwide, but for animation in general, as it cements Disney/FOX’s commitment to scripted animation sitcoms into the future.

Michael Thorn, president of FOX Television Network says “this new deal celebrates the eternal popularity of these iconic comedies, as well as the enduring, prolific relationship we continue to enjoy with our friends at 20th Television Animation and the brilliant creators - that goes double for Seth this time around - and incredible voice behind these contemporary classics.”

In 2024, “Family Guy” and “Bob’s Burgers” were among the two most-streamed titles on the Nielsen Top 10 charts, pulling in 42.44 billion and 36.79 billion minutes viewed, respectively.

With these kinds of numbers, it’s no surprise that FOX have pulled the trigger and rewarded each program with such a lengthy contract extension.
